Four Blood Moons - A Prophetic Work of Non-Fiction by John Hagee

– Research Based on NASA Science, Scripture and Historical Events –

John Hagee is the author of four New York Times bestsellers, in addition to Jerusalem Countdown, which sold over one million copies. His most recent book, The Power of the Prophetic Blessing, achieved best-seller status with USA TodayPublishers Weekly, and Wall Street Journal. He is also the founder and senior pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, TX, a nondenominational church with more than 20,000 active members, as well as the founder and president of John Hagee Ministries, which telecasts his radio and television teachings throughout America and in 249 nations. Hagee is also the founder and national chairman of Christians United for Israel, a grassroots national association with over one million members.

Does God use the sun, moon, and stars to communicate with us? Does He use the heavens as His own personal, high-definition billboard to announce things to come?

According to John Hagee, pastor of Cornerstone Church, New York Times best-selling author and founder of John Hagee Ministries and Christians United for Israel, the answer is yes.

In an astonishing new non-fiction book, Four Blood Moons, (Sept. 10, 2013/Worthy Publishing) Pastor Hagee draws on scripture, NASA science and recorded history in order to explore the significance of astronomical events and to caution believers of a momentous, upcoming lunar event that may directly impact not only the nation of Israel but possibly all of mankind.

Four Blood Moons derives its title from full lunar eclipses, called “blood moons” because only the infrared band of light gets around the Earth, making the moon appear red. In some centuries, there is a very rare series of four consecutive blood moons, called a “tetrad” by astronomists.

According to Pastor Hagee, tetrads have occurred on the Jewish holy days of Passover and Sukkot only three times in the last five hundred years. Incidentally, these same three dates in Israel’s history just happen to be the three most important dates in all of its history, writes Hagee. Four Blood Moons discusses these three incredible historical events in detail.

What is the prophetic significance of these events?

“Over the last 500 years, these lunar events all falling on holy days were an announcement of a time of tears and tribulation that ended in tremendous national triumph for the Jewish people,” says Hagee. “There are no solar or lunar accidents; every heavenly body is controlled by the unseen hand of God to send signals to humanity of coming events.”

In Four Blood Moons, Pastor Hagee cautions that, while no one knows the mind of God, the anticipation of this lunar event does tell us that God is getting ready to change the course of human history.

This is the age of non-denominational Christianity - a time where many Christians are shedding the labels they have been carrying.  Labels like 'Catholic', 'Anglican', 'Presbyterian', etc.  Instead, we see the uniting factors, such as the fact that we believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and that God raised Him from the dead. If we don't have that belief, we're not, in fact, Christians.  As the time of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ draws closer, many Christians, with the anointing of the Holy Spirit, are reading the Holy Scriptures and experiencing divine revelation as they do so.  I particularly remember the exhilaration I felt the first time I felt the excitement of receiving that revelation - I was reading the psalms and at Psalm 22, I read "My God, my God, why have You forsaken me?"  In the denominational church in which I was raised, this verse, which Jesus spoke as He died on the cross, was explained to me to  mean that Jesus experienced despair and depression and loss of faith in God, the idea being that we humans shouldn't feel surprised when we feel these things as Jesus felt that way too sometimes.  But when I realised that Jesus had actually been quoting scripture as he died - that this psalm, which David the Psalmist had written to describe his depression was actually prophecy about the sacrifice of his divine descendent, Jesus - that explanation was turned on its head.  Jesus was actually telling his disciples present - and us too - that, look, He was that man in the Psalm, fulfilling His Mission and saving mankind.  Jesus was known to his followers as 'Rabbi' which means 'teacher' and he literally died teaching his followers, even as He gave up His life to save them from the power of death.

Why is the book, FOUR BLOOD MOONS, so significant?  Pastor John Hagee, a prominent non-denominational Christian leader from the USA, has been studying Biblical scripture for most of his life and has experienced lots of significant revelation, which is particularly relevant to the times we live in. It's part of his ministry to share what he's learnt.  The idea of the stars and planets in the cosmos giving messages to mankind about events to come is nothing new - lots of people in different religious communities in India where I live would tell you that.  Pastor Hagee is particular to point out, however,  that the reading of the heavenly signs are attributed to astronomy, the science of the study of stars, not astrology, which is the worship of stars.  His book, FOUR BLOOD MOONS, in a frank and readable style, shares how the Tetrad, the phenomenon of four full lunar eclipses in one year, those moons appearing red because of a band of infrared light around the earth, has heralded the onset of significant changes in Israel, the land of the Bible, heralding the fulfilment of many Biblical prophecies.

Pastor Hagee makes a very definite case for Christians supporting Israel, as the Christian faith owes its very existence to the Jewish faith.  You'll need to keep your Bible by your side as you read this, to enjoy the revelation and see how based in scripture this work of non-fiction actually is.

As a Christian, I've been so saddened to read about how historical Christianity persecuted the Jewish people throughout the millennia. The Bible is a very precious resource for the whole world and it's a testimony to how God cares for His chosen people that they have somehow thrived and survived in spite of the most fearsome persecution.  The Bible tells us that we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem and as Jesus Christ, whom Christians follow, is Jewish Himself, I'm sure he wholeheartedly agrees.  Because as believers know, Jesus is alive and is our Lord.

This book is highly recommended for people interested in Christianity, Judaism, current affairs, history and Biblical prophecy. That covers a lot of readers.  I hope this immensely readable and fascinating book will be widely read, debated and discussed.

  1. Isn't it fascinating what is in this book?
In this review we cover the cosmic, the author talks about how God can communicate with us through Lunar Cycles. God being omnipresent, all powerful, all knowing, all wise, sure I believe God speaks cosmically to us in many ways beyond words.
Do I think God is sending messages right now?
I am sure he is. I am also sure that I hope the natural disaster in The Philippines and the natural disaster which hit Japan a few years ago, I pray that these are not some messages from God about what is to come.
Pastor John Hagee speaks about the persecution of the Jews.
Anti-semitism has a history starting from the time Jews were being enslaved in Ancient Egypt. But God has preserved and looked after his chosen people.
I firmly support peace in this world, and an end to war. I see no reason why wars can not end now. I am for peace. I don't want there to be an arms trade or guns trade. I see no reason for people to be sold things that can injure other people. I really think it is disgusting that nations built nuclear bombs and they need to be put out of use. I also believe if you believe in peace that peace means an end to the abomination that is The Death Penalty.
I also believe in human rights because I am a human being.
This article discusses the fundamental tenets of what it is to be Christian and it discusses the unifying aspects within Christianity. The origins of division within Christianity does not only originate from the reformation, nor The Great Schism of 1050, or the schism that split Oriental Orthodox Christianity from Eastern Orthodox Christianity. There have been splits within Christianity since probably its start.
Yes it is fundamental that a Christian believes basically in The Holy Trinity, that Christ was crucified, that he rose again, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
That Christianity believes in the doctrine of trinitarianism and not unitarianism, that Christianity is not in advocacy of monophysitism (Christ only had one nature divine we reject this) but clearly Christ had two natures mortal and divine.
This review discusses what is essential for a Christian to believe in.
I find it useful to quote a Russian Proverb. "Don't go to war with others, go to war with your sins."
And basically who is Christ? Christ is God.
Christ is love. We Christians believe in love. I applaud any cause for peace in this world.
However I do believe that the true church of Christ is The Orthodox Church hence I do identify myself as a Georgian Apostolic Orthodox Christian.
I found your article of interest to me.
Thanks for your wonderful work Maria and thanks to the good pastor for publishing this book.

  7. / Here's what I ran across on the web. Any reactions from anyone? /

    Blood Moons, Pretrib Rapture, Etc.

Heard of the coming blood moons? Is the pretrib rapture symbolized by anything in the heavens?
Hal Lindsey, influenced by occultic astrology, asserts on p. 124 in "The Late Great Planet Earth" that the famous Sphinx in Egypt has the head of a "woman" - even though encyclopedias say it's the head of a "man"! Hal's plagiarism on that page of a 19th century British theologian is his acceptance of the occultic Virgo-to-Leo theory - a "Christian" zodiac arbitrarily starting with Virgo (Virgin Mary) and ending with Leo (Christ returning as "Lion," Rev. 5:5).
Those who swallow this guesswork often see Ursa Minor (part of Cancer which precedes Leo) as a heavenly "symbol" of a pretrib rapture!
Pretribs also insist on separating the "church" from "Israel" - but when you aren't looking (or thinking) they blithely "prove" pretrib by the Jewish feasts in Leviticus, the stages of a Hebrew wedding (Google "Pretrib Rapture: A Staged Event"), and the one "taken" and the other "left" in "Jewish" Matthew 24.
Amazingly, Jewishness (and even anti-Jewishness) has been uncovered even in pretrib dispensationalism's 19th century foundation (Google "Roots of Warlike Christian Zionism")!
The current "blood moons" craze (promoted by lunar persons including rock musician Scottie Clarke and John Hagee) is tied to - you guessed it - the same old Jewish feast days.
Yes, there's something colored red in the future of the church, but I don't have moons in mind. What will really turn red will be the collective faces of many when it finally dawns on them that their any-moment fly-away was nothing more than an end time hoax!
